During the pandemic, when red carpet events weren’t possible, Prime Video UK needed to create an alternative launch for their new series, Panic.
In collaboration with Panic author and creator Lauren Oliver, we made a thrilling, virtual live event, hosted on a bespoke video chat platform, which threw audiences into the world of the show.
Online audiences, playing in groups of six, puzzled their way through a brand-new prequel story as they tried to help a character find her missing boyfriend, Noah. Teams interacted with characters, hacked websites and decoded clues to track down the teen and figure out what’s really going on in the small town of Carp. Complete with dramatic twists, shocking betrayals and a heart-stopping cinematic finale, Panic The Experience left players screaming at their screens.
Over 1800 brave players from across the UK and US took part in under two weeks, with UK tickets selling out in just 34 minutes and more game slots added to meet demand.
